The SME Association of Australia has compiled a report on the new government code to help SMEs who are struggling to pay their commercial rent. Businesses eligible for the Jobkeeper payment will be eligible for commercial rental relief if they have a revenue of less than $50 million. Find out the leasing principles that SMEs can utilise including no termination by landlords, rent waivers and deferrals, no penalties, freeze on rent increases and extensions on lease periods.
